Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how USFITools handles information when you use this website.
Information you provide
Most tools do not require an account. If you contact us, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and the contents of your message. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through tool inputs or support messages unless it is necessary.
Tool processing
The aviation calculators run in your browser: the numbers you enter are processed on your device and are not sent to our server. The METAR and TAF decoder and the airport code lookup send the airport code or search term you type to our server, which retrieves the report from AviationWeather.gov or searches the OurAirports airport dataset and returns the result. These search terms are not linked to your identity.
Server logs, analytics and cookies
Our hosting provider may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps and error logs for security, performance and troubleshooting. Analytics may collect usage information such as pages visited, approximate device information and interaction events so we can understand which tools are useful. Cookies or similar storage may also be used for security, preferences, analytics and, if advertising is enabled, advertising functions.
Legal bases and consent
Depending on the visitor’s location and the feature involved, processing may rely on consent, legitimate interests, performance of a requested service, or compliance with legal obligations. Where consent is required for analytics, advertising or similar storage, USFITools uses a consent banner (Complianz) with Google Consent Mode so that, where consent is required, analytics and advertising storage is only used after you agree. You can change your choice at any time with the Manage consent button.
EEA, UK and Swiss privacy rights
Where applicable, you may have rights to request access to personal data, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, and data portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. These rights are subject to legal exceptions and verification of the request.
Google Analytics, advertising and cookies
USFITools uses Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand aggregate site usage such as pages visited, device/browser information and interaction events. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies subject to the consent choices and regional requirements configured on the site.
If Google AdSense or another advertising service is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure and personalise ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this and other websites where permitted. Visitors can manage Google advertising personalisation through Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. Where consent is required, USFITools uses or plans to use a Google-certified consent-management platform so visitors can make the required choices before relevant advertising or analytics storage is activated.
Children
USFITools is a general-audience aviation reference website and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly ask children to create accounts or submit sensitive personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Contact page, please contact us so the request can be reviewed and handled appropriately.
UAE and other privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, including the UAE Personal Data Protection framework and laws in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, individuals may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent. The availability and scope of these rights depend on the law that applies to the request.
International processing and third parties
Hosting, analytics, advertising, data providers and other service providers may process information in countries different from your own. Their processing is governed by their contracts, privacy policies and applicable legal safeguards. External links are governed by the privacy practices of the destination website.
Retention and security
We keep contact messages and technical logs only as reasonably needed for support, security, legal obligations and site operation. Retention periods can vary by service provider and purpose. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable technical and organisational measures should be used to protect the site and its data.
Complaints and questions
If you have a privacy question or want to exercise an applicable privacy right, email contact@usfitools.com. Depending on your location, you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
